The PCM-360 equipment can multiplexes 120 channels into 4-16 E1 data, and cross- connect all of the time slots through the network management software. The 120 channels of voice can cross-connect to any E1.

All the units cards could be of any interface cards, such as, S interface card, O interface card, 2/4 EM interface card, asynchronous data interface  card, synchronous data interface card, carrier magnet interface card, Ethernet interface card, and so on.

There are interface cards of 3 capacities for choice:  15 channels/card, 10 channels/card, 5 channels/card, 4 channels/card, 3 channels/card.

 

All stainless steel, with aluminum alloy. 19 inches in width, 6U in height. Totally 18 unit cards, the most left and the most right channels are the power supplies to make 1+1 protection. 4 channels in the center for the MUX, other 12 channels for the unit cards.

Multiple protections have been applied for safety and reliability. There are lightening proof, anti-magnet anti-surge protections for the equipment. Each working circuit has its own power supply and recoverable fuse so that any error happening on single unit will not affect others. The enclosed construction of connectors prevent short circuits caused by external metals.
